How to talk to your audience

Let's face it, the world is changing and it's our job to figure out how to talk to it.  Easier said than done, listen to these examples: men with a full sleeve tattoos now drive Praises,  Mens pants are now tighter than their girlfriend's pants, beards are the new black and "Orange Is The New Black" is a show on Netflix.

As the rest of world changes so also does the way that people's attention is captured. We, as business owners and those that are in charge of obtaining new customers, need to always stay ahead of these ever changing trends. Here are a few things that I've found to be pretty consistent in the face of change.

  • People want to do business with their friends. Treat everyone as a friend, simply getting to know your potential clients will build trust and open up doors for future networking.
  • Always be networking, in person or on Facebook. Social networking is a great way of getting your name out there and creating a great face for your business. Maintain your social presence diligently, consider working with a professional to get your's under control.
  • Ask yourself "Would this work on me?" or "If I saw this advertisment would it catch my interest?" Remember, Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

In the end, the market, no matter the product, is made up of humans and anything that involves humans is going to change or evolve. Bringing in new customers isn't a game of simple persistance anymore, it's about controling how potential customers view us as a company.  Continue to follow our blog to find new ideas on how to do that!
